lenticular
Lenticular imaging uses lenticles manufactured into acrylic lenses to create visual effects with an interlaced image. It is extremely durable and is able to display true colour. The image can be printed to any size between A5 and 1.2 x 2.4 metres and using different thickness and LPI to achieve different viewing distances.

Lenticular images are presently being used for both marketing and artistic purposes. Greatest success has been achieved with images that already have a sense of perspective. For instance, an object that is placed at an angle creates an image with far more depth, when produced as a lenticular image, than one that is created from an object placed side on. Landscapes and architectural work are of particular interest, gaining the depth and perspective to make them seem real, more like the view from a window than a printed picture. Photographs produced as lenticular images with a single object as the focal point stand out more clearly when they are placed against an appropriate background.
